Brief summary and commentary on the first three scenes in Act III of Macbeth.

The first scene starts with Banquo utter his suspicions about Macbeth killing Duncan in order to become the King. He is aw atomic number 18 that the witches had prophesized that his sons would become Kings. alike he doesnt let this estimate obsess him. He is coextensive of controlling his thoughts and checking his ambitions unlike Macbeth which sets the both apart. Macbeth enters with the others here. He announces that Banquo is to be the antique guest of the royal cattle farm hes hosting tonight. Banquo promises to come but non until later on after he has returned from his tease with his son, Fleance. Then Macbeth talks of how Malcolm and Donalbain havent thus far confessed to their deed and are reservation up faint tales to arrest their innocence. Macbeth neednt have told this to Banquo; his doing so shows that he is still panic-struck that Banquo suspects him and he wants to clear any such suspicion in Banquos headspring by repeatedly reminding Banquo that Malcolm and Donalbain are the ones to blame. Once everyone leaves and hes alone, Macbeth speaks out his inmost thoughts and feelings. His olfaction is that of despair, insecurity and defiance towards the pole of the soliloquy. To be thusly is cypher; / But to be safely thus, he says. Macbeth realizes that existence a King isnt all that corking if the kingship is insecure.
